Role of T-cells in post-menopausal osteoporosis
The objective of this study is to characterize the T-cell phenotype in women undergoing surgical menopause. The hypothesis is that in the estrogen deficient state T-cells will have a more activated phenotype and produce cytokines that promote osteoclast maturation. Funding NIH.
